November and December are busy months here at Saint J Subaru. Not just in our Sales and Service Departments, but we participate in a LOT of community events these months as well. In fact, we have a whole department at our Automobile Group dedicated to making these events happen and go off without a hitch! This year we have many new events to add to the already large Share the Love Sales Event that we already participate in.
Stuff-A-Subaru – Running Now Through November 23rd
Right now we are collecting donations in the back of the 2016 WRX STi that we have in our Showroom for the local Food Shelves until November 23rd. We have quite a few donations already, but we have a few more days to collect more food and other materials for needy local families. We have done this in the past and REALLY want this year to be bigger and better than before! We have a lot of families in our area that utilize this amazing resource in our community. We all have a spare can or two in our cupboards that got pushed to the back and forgotten about. Now’s a great time to clean out those cupboards and bring in those lonely cans or boxes to help a local family in need.
Share the Love – Begins November 19th
The Subaru of New England Share the Love Sales Event begins Thursday, November 19th. Subaru of New England selects 5 National Charities and provides Saint J Subaru with the opportunity to choose one local charity. We’re proud to announce we will continue to support the Fairbanks Museum for this event. When any customer leases or purchases any new Subaru from us, he or she will get to choose which charity of the six mentioned above to have a $250 donation made. There are a lot of great charities to pick from this year. Last year we raised $9,014 for the Museum but we have upped the ante and made a $20,000 goal for this year. In order to hit this goal, we will be making some amazing deals on any new Subarus that we have in stock, so if you are in the market for a new car (or if the thought has even crossed your mind) come in and see if we can MAKE IT HAPPEN for you!
Angel Tree – Begins Week of November 23rd
Starting November 23rd, we will have a 3-foot Angel Tree set up in our showroom with dozens of ornaments hanging on it to benefit our local special needs community. Come in and grab an ornament that has the gender, age of a special needs child or family member, and gift idea, and donate a present! All you have to do is bring that ornament and your gift to that child back to a drop box in the showroom (unwrapped) and we will make sure the children get their gifts in time for Christmas. This is a great opportunity to support local special needs children and their families, and we’re proud to be involved.
Kingdom Animal Shelter – December 12th from 10am-2pm
December 12th we have a Share the Love event going on at the dealership with the Kingdom Animal Shelter. They are located right here in St. Johnsbury and are a shelter dedicated to cats and kittens. We have partnered with them for the last 5 years and plan on making the sixth year an even bigger and better event. They come down to the dealership and bring our old pal “Santa Paws” for your family members (furry or human) to sit and get their picture taken. The pictures are $10 each and you can leave the dealership with them that day! There will also be a Bake Sale, Quilt Raffle and Craft Tables set up in our showroom to raise extra money – as well as dog nail trimmings that are $7, all benefiting the Animal Shelter. Last year we donated an extra $550 to the Shelter from our Facebook “Like and Share” campaign.
Catamount Arts Raffle – December 28th
December 28th is our Annual All Wheel for the Arts Car Raffle. We have partnered with Catamount Arts – our local arts center – for the last 6 years and we plan to keep this partnership going. Every year the raffle gets bigger and better! If you are familiar with this raffle you know that it’s always been a once drawing, 1 winner deal. Well – THIS year we are adding some very cool prizes to the mix and will be drawing some more winners than normal. Local businesses have donated extra prizes and we are hoping to “share the love” by announcing more winners this year! Make sure you come by the dealership to see what I’m talking about!
We firmly believe that our community is just as important to our customers as it is to us. We love to give back and support the community that supports us and our growing business. We have other plans to add to this lengthy list of ongoing community events but I think this blog post is long enough already. Check back again for any other announcements we may make between now and the end of the year! You never know what our owner and manager’s will come up with!
